Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam called the Maharashtra TET paper leak unfortunate and said the leak mafia must be exposed. He said the exam was cancelled after authorities found the paper had allegedly been leaked. The Maharashtra Exam Council said no fresh registration will be required for candidates and assured strict action against those found guilty.
Three people have been taken into custody by Bhiwandi Police after the paper leak was reported from Bhiwandi and Thane, where several questions reportedly matched. The exam was scheduled at 1,728 centres, with about 6,12,500 candidates expected to appear. Police are continuing the investigation, and more people may be involved.
