Siya Goyal and Ketan Agarwal Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: As the investigation into Ketan Agarwal’s murder case gathers momentum, statements made by the families of both the victim and accused Siya Goyal have added a fresh dimension to the case. During questioning by police, Siya’s elder brother Sahil Goel reportedly said the family was never informed that she was unhappy with her marriage to Ketan. According to CNN-News18 sources, investigators asked Sahil whether the family knew Siya disapproved of the match. In response, Sahil allegedly told police that Siya had never expressed any reservations about marrying Ketan. He further claimed that had she shared her concerns, the family would have agreed to her marriage with co accused Chetan Chaudhary.
“Why would the family have an issue with Chetan? He belongs to the same community, comes from a business family and is equally well off as ours," Sahil reportedly told investigators. Ketan Agarwal’s family has also made similar assertions. His father told investigators that they, too, were unaware that Siya was allegedly unwilling to marry his son. “We are a well off family. We could have found many other girls for our son," Ketan’s father reportedly said, maintaining that no indication was ever given that Siya opposed the marriage. Earlier, Siya Goyal, allegedly told investigators that “killing" her fiance Ketan Agarwal was “easier" than informing her family that she did not wish to marry him, according to a report by The Times of India. During custodial interrogation, Goyal reportedly said she chose not to tell her family about her reluctance to go ahead with the marriage because she did not want to hurt them.

Investigators said the two met at a café in Pune’s Lullanagar locality on June 17 and spent nearly an hour there, between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
