400-Foot Dummy Drop: Pune Police Recreate Ketan’s Murder To Probe Siya Goyal's Role Published By, Last Updated: June 27, 2026, 02:06 IST Pune Police on Friday recreated the crime scene at Lohagarh Fort on the outskirts of the city. (From left) Deceased Ketan Agarwal and accused Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary. Pune Police on Friday recreated the crime scene at Lohagarh Fort by throwing a human-sized dummy nearly 400 feet into the gorge where businessman Ketan Agarwal died on June 18. The exercise was conducted to study the trajectory of the fall and determine the sequence of events leading to his death. Investigators carried out the simulation at the same spot where Agarwal allegedly fell. The reconstruction is aimed at establishing whether his fiancée, Siya Goyal, physically pushed him, or whether the act was carried out by her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary. According to police, Goyal was in a relationship with Chaudhary, and the two allegedly conspired to kill the 26-year-old businessman by pushing him off the fort. Investigators have alleged that the incident was initially projected as an accident before the probe uncovered evidence pointing to murder. The dummy was dropped from the fort to help investigators analyse the fall’s trajectory and impact. Police said the exercise would provide crucial forensic inputs for the ongoing investigation. The recreation comes after forensic teams spent nearly 48 hours examining the area and collecting physical evidence from the scene. According to the police, the simulation has helped identify the exact location from where Agarwal was allegedly thrown into the gorge. The exercise was also conducted to reconstruct the sequence of events involving the two accused. The police’s preliminary findings indicate that Chaudhary allegedly pushed Agarwal after receiving a signal from Goyal. Investigators are using the dummy recreation to determine whether Goyal also physically pushed the victim.
Officials said the findings from the crime scene reconstruction are expected to establish the specific role and extent of physical involvement of each accused. Inside Siya’s Plot To Kill Ketan Police said the accused had made multiple attempts before finally succeeding. On May 31, Goyal allegedly accompanied Agarwal to Lohagad Fort and identified a secluded spot near the Vinchu Kata ridge where the crime could be carried out. Another trip planned for June 4 was aborted after Agarwal’s mother objected.
