The Election Commission has commenced a special intensive revision exercise of electoral rolls in Telangana to scrutinise the voter process. In areas like Warasiguda and Sitaramandi in Hyderabad, Booth Level Officers and Booth Level Agents are conducting door-to-door visits to distribute enumerated printed forms to residents. The primary objective of this exercise is to identify and remove duplicate votes, delete names of deceased individuals, and resolve double voter entries.
While officials explain the form-filling process to households, several residents have reported technical errors. Locals state that names present in the 2002 list are currently missing from the records, preventing them from receiving the enumeration forms. Officials on the ground acknowledge these technical glitches and are awaiting further instructions from higher authorities to resolve the issues. The collected forms will be gathered by the first of the month to complete the scrutiny process and finalise the accurate voter list.
