A fistfight erupted in the Georgian Parliament on Friday during Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's annual address. Members of the ruling Georgian Dream party physically assaulted a member of the opposition Gakharia for Georgia party, opposition representatives said. The situation became tense during speeches by opposition lawmakers, who accused the Prime Minister of democratic backsliding and diverting the country from its path toward EU membership.
