A new Sub Divisional Police Office was inaugurated at Puttur town in Tirupati on Friday (June 26, 2026). Legislators Gali Bhanuprakash (Nagari) and K. Adimoolam (Satyavedu) jointly inaugurated the new building in the presence of Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, Additional DGP (Law and Order) Madhusudhan Reddy and Superintendent of Police L.
Subbarayudu. The Director General of Police, who toured the new premises, stated that the new facility would bring police administration closer to the residents of Puttur and the surrounding areas, with enhanced speed and greater transparency. At a review meeting held later with the sub-divisional staff, Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta discussed crime, the maintenance of law and order, the safety of women and children, and citizen-centric police services, as well as the use of technology in tackling crime.
He directed the staff to ensure efficient policing in order to enhance public confidence in the department’s functioning. At the District Police Office in Tirupati,
he inaugurated several infrastructure facilities aimed at police welfare, canteen and laid the foundation stone for a compound wall.
