Construction work on the Bailey Bridges at Vikramshila Setu in Bihar’s Bhagalpur is progressing rapidly, and traffic movement is expected to resume soon. According to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), a total of three Bailey Bridges are planned at the site. One bridge has already been successfully launched, while decking and finishing work on the second bridge is currently underway. Officials said the second bridge is expected to be completed within the next two to three days.
Preparations have also begun for the launch of the third bridge. BRO officials stated that all the bridges will be single-lane structures, and the administration will decide what category of vehicles will be allowed to use them. The agency said its primary objective is to restore connectivity and resume traffic movement at the earliest possible time.
