'Koi Gir Gaya Hai': What Siya Goyal Told Lohadgad Fort Security Guard After Pushing Ketan Agarwal Published By, Last Updated: June 25, 2026, 20:41 IST Dheeraj Jadhav, a security guard stationed at the fort, said Siya Goyal did not provide details about how the incident occurred and only informed him that a person had fallen. Rapid Read Police have accused Siya Goyal of pushing Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune with the help of her lover Chetan Chaudhary. After allegedly pushing Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal to his death from Lohagad Fort, murder accused Siya Goyal screamed for help and informed a security guard that someone had fallen from the fort, according to eyewitness accounts. Dheeraj Jadhav, a security guard at Lohagad Fort, said Siya did not explain how the incident occurred and only told him that a person had fallen.
“I came running after hearing screams. I asked Siya Goyal what had happened, and she said, ‘Yaha se koi gir gaya hai’ (someone has fallen from here). I immediately informed the police," Jadhav told NDTV. According to Jadhav, he heard loud screams from a distance on June 18 and rushed towards the spot. When he arrived, Siya allegedly informed him that someone had fallen from the fort but did not provide any further details. The case, which was initially treated as an accidental death, later took a dramatic turn after investigators uncovered evidence suggesting that Agarwal’s death may have been the result of a premeditated murder. Police have accused Siya Goyal of conspiring with her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, to kill Agarwal by pushing him off a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Both accused are currently in custody. Following the incident, Siya reportedly told police that Agarwal had accidentally slipped and fallen while trekking.
However, Pune Rural Police Superintendent Sandeep Singh Gill said subsequent inquiries raised serious doubts about the accident theory. “Subsequent inquiries and information gathered from relatives and friends raised suspicions. It seemed unlikely for such an accident to occur spontaneously, especially given that Ketan was an experienced trekker," Gill said. According to the police officer, Agarwal’s family also expressed doubts about the circumstances surrounding his death, prompting investigators to probe the case further. “The family expressed doubts, and a formal complaint was lodged based on these suspicions. Through confidential sources, witness statements and technical evidence, it was revealed that Siya Goyal had a friend named Chetan Chaudhary. The two had known each other for about a year," Gill said. Police allege that the two conspired to murder Agarwal and executed the plan during the trek to Lohagad Fort. “They conspired to execute this plan.
