The wait is almost over. Rockstar Games has officially kicked off pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most highly anticipated video games of all time, globally. GTA 6 pre-orders are also live in India, at the same time as global markets, which is starting from June 25, 2026. GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. Rockstar Games confirmed that pre-orders went live at midnight local time on June 25, and Indian gamers can secure their copy through the PlayStation and Xbox stores, as well as select physical retailers. Read Full Story GTA 6 pre-order editions, pricing, and what you get GTA 6 is available in two editions for now. The Standard Edition is priced at Rs 5,999 in India and $79.99 in the US, while the Ultimate Edition comes in at Rs 7,499 in India and $99.99 in the US.
It is worth noting that the Standard Edition price already puts GTA 6 above the industry standard of $70 for triple-A games. The Ultimate Edition comes loaded with in-game bonuses including exclusive vehicles, outfits, weapons, and additional content spread across Jason and Lucia's story, with new items unlocking behind each chapter of the game. Anyone who pre-orders either edition before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack โ a collection of 80s-themed retro items โ along with a free one-month GTA+ subscription, redeemable instantly. Digital pre-orders also unlock pre-loading from November 12, a week before launch. One thing worth flagging for physical copy fans, GTA 6 will not come with a disc at launch. The physical box will contain a digital download code instead, which supports pre-loading from the November 12 date. PS5 could be the best place to play it, Rockstar says While GTA 6 will be available on both PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, Sony is making a strong case for why PlayStation 5 might be the best platform to play it.
According to Sony, GTA 6 will take full advantage of the PS5's ultra-high speed SSD to deliver near-instant loading times, meaning players can expect to move through Vice City and the state of Leonida with virtually no interruptions. Sony also says the game will use the PS5 controller's built-in speaker for key in-game moments, enhanced by haptic feedback, and that the console's Tempest 3D Audio technology will bring the world of Leonida to life in ways that go beyond standard audio. Interestingly, Sony made no mention of the PS5 Pro in its blog post, leaving questions about any potential enhanced version of the game unanswered for now. A few things are still up in the air PC players will have to wait. Rockstar has not announced a PC launch date and based on the studio's track record with previous releases, a PC version is generally expected to arrive somewhere between 12 and 18 months after the console launch, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
