According to AFP, police were providing support to three men who called the coast guard for help from a private boat just before noon, and then travelled over an hour with their injured friend to shore.

In January, Sydney reported three separate shark attacks in just over 24 hours, leaving a man and a boy critically injured and another child narrowly escaping harm, according to police.
