A significant display upgrade could be on the way According to well-known tipster Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will feature a "significantly enhanced" screen resolution.
The claim was shared on X, although the tipster did not reveal any specific figures. It is also unclear whether the upgrade applies to the cover screen, the inner folding display, or both. That uncertainty has sparked speculation because Samsung's current foldable already offers sharp displays. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a cover screen with a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080, while the internal folding display comes in at 2,184 x 1,968. Interestingly, the cover screen is actually more pixel-dense than the larger inner display. As a result, the internal screen may be the one that benefits the most from a resolution boost.
