Yogi Govt Announces Major Employment Boost As 3,446 Selected For UP Agriculture Dept Posts Published By, Last Updated: June 25, 2026, 04:41 IST The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has declared the long-awaited Technical Assistant Group-C results The newly recruited cohort comprises 1,813 candidates from the General category, 629 from Other Backward Classes, 509 from Scheduled Castes, 344 from the Economically Weaker Sections, and 151 from Scheduled Tribes. (Representational image) The Yogi Adityanath government has delivered a substantial boost to public sector employment in the state, with the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission declaring the final results for 3,446 Technical Assistant Group-C posts in the Agriculture Department. The written examination for this highly anticipated recruitment drive was conducted on 13 July 2025, and the commission officially announced the successful candidates on Tuesday, 23 June.
Following the declaration, the Director of Agriculture will soon oversee the formal posting of the selected candidates against existing vacancies across various districts in the state. Extending his congratulations to the successful aspirants, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi provided a detailed category-wise breakdown of the selections. He informed that the newly recruited cohort comprises 1,813 candidates from the General category, 629 from Other Backward Classes, 509 from Scheduled Castes, 344 from the Economically Weaker Sections, and 151 from Scheduled Tribes. Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh also joined in extending his best wishes to the candidates, emphasising the transparent nature of the recruitment process. Highlighting the systemic impact of these fresh appointments, Agriculture Secretary Indra Vikram Singh noted that the recruitment drive had been eagerly awaited for a long period.
He stated that the induction of these technical assistants will immediately make the Agriculture Department’s field-level operations more robust and dynamic. The secretary further remarked that a strengthened agricultural workforce will play a definitive role in advancing the state government’s overarching objective of achieving a one trillion-dollar economy while simultaneously enhancing rural livelihoods and farmers’ incomes. Senior administrative officials, including Principal Secretary for Agriculture Ravinder and Director of Agriculture Dr Pankaj Tripathi, also conveyed their congratulations, noting that the deployment of skilled technical personnel will accelerate the ground-level implementation of modern agrarian policies and technology distribution across Uttar Pradesh.
