Actor Ram Charan stole the limelight at the Andhra Premier League (APL), which began at the newly-renovated Mangalagiri Stadium on Wednesday. While the initial matches of the APL were held in Visakhapatnam and Kadapa, the Mangalagiri Stadium will host league’s semifinals and final match from June 24 to 30.
Human Resource Development Minister N. Lokesh is expected to attend the finals, which will be held on June 30. The first match at the stadium was played between Simhadri Vizag Lions and Rayalaseema Royals, with the former emerging the winner.
Meanwhile, Bhimavaram Bulls and Capital Amaravati Royals locked horns in the second game. Ram Charan inaugurated the APL trophy and tossed the coin for the
second match. Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries, Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Andhra Cricket Association President Kesineni Sivanath, and others were present.
