A 60-year-old security guard was allegedly killed after being run over twice by a car following a minor dispute in Delhi's Paschim Vihar West area early Saturday morning, police said. The victim, identified as Bijender, was working as a 'chowkidar' (security guard) at a tempo stand near Shri Shidh Baba Mandir in Peeragarhi Village. Police said a PCR call regarding a fatal accident was received at around 4 am.
Read Full Story When officers reached the spot at the entry gate of the tempo stand, Bijender was found lying unconscious. He was declared dead at the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the elderly guard had an argument with the occupants of a car shortly before the incident. According to CCTV footage examined by police, one of the accused first hit the guard with a stick, then ran his car over him twice before fleeing the scene at high speed.

CCTV footage from the area has been collected and analysed as part of the investigation. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Paschim Vihar West police station. Multiple teams, including sub-division crack teams and Outer district operations units, have been tasked with tracing the accused.
