The lecture conducted as part of the series on ‘Vaishnava Agama’ by the Tirupati regional centre of Indira Gandhi Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) highlighted the significance of Vishnu Tattva Samhita, an unpublished manuscript. Retired senior professor of Nyaya at Sanskrit University (NSU) P.T.G.Y. Sampath Kumaracharyulu emphasised the significance of the text belonging to the ‘Pancharatra’ tradition, its doctrinal foundations, philosophical insights and contribution to the understanding of Vaishnava Agamic literature.
He stressed the importance of preserving and critically studying the manuscript for enriching contemporary Agamic research. NSU former Vice-Chancellor Radhakant Thakur, who attended the event as the chief
guest, underscored the importance of traditional knowledge systems and appreciated the efforts of IGNCA and NSU in promoting research and awareness of Vaishnava Agama literature. IGNCA Regional Director
K.T.V. Raghavan, in his welcome address, explained that the lecture series aimed at encouraging academic engagement, manuscript studies and deeper understanding of Agamic traditions among students and scholars.
