‘Take Me From Here, They Won’t Let Me Live’: Twisha Sharma’s Distress Message To Mom Before Death Published By, Last Updated: May 18, 2026, 16:25 IST In chats allegedly sent to her mother shortly before her death, Twisha described her condition as unbearable and repeatedly asked to be taken away from her marital home. Twisha Sharma (Image Credits: X) Fresh details have emerged in the death case of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma, with messages allegedly exchanged with her mother before her death pointing to emotional distress and harassment at her matrimonial home. Twisha, a native of Noida, was found hanging at the Katara Hills home of her husband, lawyer Samarth Singh, in Bhopal on May 12. The couple had reportedly met through a dating app in 2024 and got married in December last year.
In messages allegedly sent to her mother in the days leading up to her death, Twisha repeatedly described her situation as unbearable and pleaded to be taken away from the house. “My life has become hell, mom," she allegedly wrote on April 30. In another message dated May 7, she said: “Take me out of here, they won’t let me live." She also reportedly wrote, “I can’t do this anymore, please take me home," and “I feel suffocated here." Another message allegedly read: “Nothing is going to be alright now." Earlier Chats With Friends Also Raised Concerns Earlier chats shared with friends had also pointed to signs of anxiety and emotional distress. In one of the conversations, Twisha allegedly said she felt “trapped" and warned a friend against rushing into marriage.
She had also spoken about missing home and feeling emotionally exhausted after marriage. Allegations Of Mental Harassment Family members have alleged that Twisha faced continuous mental harassment, pressure and character assassination within the household after marriage. Investigators are now examining the chats and other digital evidence as part of the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death. Dowry Harassment Probe Underway Police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations of dowry harassment against Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth Singh, and his mother Giribala Singh, a retired judge. Twisha’s family has accused both of being responsible for her death. The family has also expressed fears that the accused may try to influence the investigation because of their alleged connections and claimed that they had already secured anticipatory bail.
