The investigation into a trekker's fatal fall off a cliff near Pune has uncovered a pre-planned murder conspiracy, leading to the arrest of his fiancée and her lover. Initially reported as an accidental fall during an outing, police discovered that the fiancée and her lover conspired to eliminate the man as they were in a relationship. The suspects allegedly made a previous unsuccessful attempt to push the victim off the cliff and also sabotaged a planned international trip by hiding his passport.
Following a deep investigation of mobile records and suspicious behavior, the police arrested both suspects, who subsequently confessed to executing the crime.
