Sharjah extends parking timings to 8am–12am From July 1 Sharjah to extend paid public parking hours across the emirate starting July 1, with fees applying until midnight, Sharjah Municipality announced. The new timings will cover Sharjah city, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid, with parking charges running daily from 8am to 12am.The change standardises operating hours across all paid parking zones, bringing areas with shorter timings in line with others.Free parking will continue on Fridays and official public holidays, except in zones that already charge fees throughout the week. The move comes as demand for parking increases, particularly in busy residential and commercial areas. Extending the hours is expected to improve availability, reduce misuse and make it easier for drivers to find spaces in the evening. There are around 124,000 paid public parking spaces in the emirate. The updated timings apply to regular parking areas and do not affect smart parking facilities in certain locations.Seasonal subscription fees will remain unchanged, with subscribers receiving a longer daily exemption period.Motorists can pay for parking through SMS, the Digital Sharjah app or seasonal subscriptions.
