Sony says the products are designed to recreate the creator’s intended audio experience with technologies such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 360 spatial sound mapping, and Sound Field Optimisation. Sony 2026 Bravia Theatre products At the top of the lineup is the Bravia Theatre Trio, Sony’s flagship wireless home theatre system.
Unlike traditional soundbars, the Trio uses dedicated left, centre, and right speakers to create a broader soundstage and improve dialogue clarity. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS audio formats and can create up to 24 phantom speakers when paired with the Bravia Theatre Sub 9 and Rear 9 speakers. The Bravia Theatre Bar 7 is designed for users looking for a premium soundbar experience. It comes with nine speaker units, including up-firing and side-firing speakers, along with Sony’s 360 spatial sound mapping technology to create a more spacious surround sound effect. The Bravia Theatre Bar 5 comes with a wireless subwoofer and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It also includes features such as Voice Zoom 3, which improves dialogue clarity when paired with compatible Bravia TVs. For users who want more powerful bass, Sony has introduced the Bravia Theatre Sub 9 and Sub 8 wireless subwoofers.
The Sub 9 features a 600W amplifier and dual-subwoofer configuration, while the Sub 8 comes with a 300W amplifier for deeper low-frequency performance. Sony has also launched the Bravia Theatre Rear 9 and Rear 8 wireless rear speakers to enhance surround sound setups. The Rear 9 features up-firing speakers and aluminium speaker units, while both models are designed for easy wireless integration with compatible Bravia Theatre systems. The company has also introduced Bravia Direct Connect, allowing compatible Bravia TVs to connect directly with select subwoofers and rear speakers without requiring a soundbar. This gives users more flexibility to build their home theatre setup based on their needs.
