An incident unfolded in a moving Mumbai local train when a man, identified as Mayank Lohar, was stabbed to death inside a first-class coach. The incident occurred at around ten at night during heavy rains as Mayank, a Virar resident and salesman in Andheri, was commuting. An argument erupted when he asked a fellow passenger to shut the train door to prevent rainwater from entering. The dispute escalated, and the accused pulled a knife from his bag, stabbing Mayank multiple times.
The victim died on the spot following the attack. The Borivali Railway Police has registered a murder case and is investigating alongside the Railway Protection Force. The accused remains absconding, and authorities are trying to identify him. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and recording statements from other passengers present in the coach during the rush hour to track down the attacker.
