A landslide following heavy rainfall in Mumbai's Vikhroli West has caused a fifty-metre section of an access road adjoining JVLR Road to collapse. The incident, which occurred around 1:30 AM, is attributed to foundation piling work at an adjacent construction site. The collapse has disrupted the water supply pipeline to the Sun Heights residential building and raised safety concerns among its residents, who fear their retaining walls may also be compromised.
The blocked access road has further prevented water tankers from reaching the society. While collapsed cars have been rescued, residents are demanding urgent wall repairs and temporary water connections to ensure safety and restore supply.
