Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed Ministers and Congress senior leaders including MLAs, MPs and constituency in-charges to be cautious about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls โ starting on Thursday (June 25, 2026), warning that it is a serious subject. Participating in a zoom meeting with party leaders on Wednesday (June 24, 2026), he found fault with a section of leaders for their negligent attitude towards the exercise.
The leadership would however not remain silent on those causing damage to the party. He said the party would monitor the performance of leaders concerned for 10 days after SIR begins. โWe will replace those not living up to expectations,โ he said. Reddy said he had district wise reports on the awareness camps conducted on SIR and favoured more such meetings should be held.
In-charge Ministers should be more responsible towards the exercise as any negligence could result in loss to poor people. Losing voting right could deny the poor their Aadhaar cards
and entitlement for ration cards. The party leaders should ensure that there was no scope for such developments. Schedule of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana
