Even if his wife, Usha Vance, was offended at being bracketed with a Pakistani, she did manage to hide her frustration. However, the comments did not sit well with the MAGA base, which sits on a diet of unilateral American sovereignty, frequently advocating ‘America First’ policy. ‘Vance Loves Pak, I Don’t’ Republican Senator Rick Scott remarked that Pakistan and Qatar –– the mediator nations in U.S.-Iran peace talks –– possess a “long history of harboring terrorists and right now they seem far more invested in propping up Iran’s decades-long terror campaign than achieving a meaningful peace", Times of India reported.

While JD Vance has publicly expressed his admiration towards his faith, hoping his family shares it, Usha Vance has stayed firmly connected to her Hindu upbringing, which reflects her individuality.
