The Transport Department registered an impressive performance in Puttur and Srikalahasti in the Positive Public Perception (P3) feedback conducted by the government. It may be recalled that the exercise was conducted to ensure transparency and accountability in reaching out services to the public. The government conducted an interactive voice response system (IVRS)-based feedback from the public across the State.
In this initiative, Puttur unit, led by Motor Vehicle Inspector V. Chandrashekhar, recorded 100% positive public perception during the last two months, securing first place for the second consecutive time. Similarly, Motor Vehicle Inspector Damodar Naidu’s team in Srikalahasti office registered a 96% positive public perception and stood second in the State.
“The results stand testimony to the public outreach, quality of service, transparency and discipline in our staff in the respective offices,” said Regional Transport Officer (Tirupati) Korrapati Muralimohan, who felicitated the two officials at his
office here on Tuesday. He said that the exercise taken up as suggested by the district Collector served as a barometer to the department’s functioning as well as its perception in the eyes of the citizens.
