The phone has Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with an unspecified amount of LPDDR5X RAM. Keeping the lights on is a massive 6,000mAh battery which supports up to 45W fast charging. For gamers specifically, the phone includes a Bypass Charging feature that powers the battery directly from the adapter during gameplay, helping keep temperatures in check and preventing performance from taking a hit during long sessions. The Galaxy M47 5G is confirmed to run on Samsung’s One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
The phone is guaranteed to receive six major OS update as well as six years of security patches. The upcoming M47 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For durability, the phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, which Samsung claims offers up to four times better scratch resistance and can withstand drops of up to two metres. On the camera front, the Galaxy M47 5G sports a 50-megapixel OIS triple rear camera setup and a 12-megapixel front camera.
The phone supports 4K video recording from the back camera. The Galaxy M47 5G will be available in two colours — Rogue Red and Blaze Blue — when it goes on sale on June 29 via Amazon. More details on pricing will be announced on the day of official India launch. Ends
