A fresh political confrontation has erupted in Tamil Nadu over investment inflows and industrial growth. The controversy gained momentum after Chief Minister Vijay's meeting with U.S. Ambassador, with the opposition DMK alleging that major investment proposals are slipping away from Tamil Nadu and moving to neighbouring states.
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister rejected the allegations and claimed that as many as 25 companies had moved away during the previous DMK regime, while no such exits have occurred under the TVK government so far.
