At the 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Infosys on Tuesday, Chairman Nandan Nilekani struck a confident note on the company’s future in an AI-driven world, asserting that artificial intelligence will act as a force multiplier rather than a disruptor for firms that adapt effectively."AI will not replace a company like ours but amplify who move with purpose," Nilekani told shareholders.He highlighted that the rapid evolution of AI is accelerating the urgency for enterprises to modernise outdated systems.
"The AI revolution has made legacy modernization urgent in a way nothing else has," he said, pointing to a structural shift in how businesses approach technology upgrades.Infosys is already seeing tangible gains from this shift. The company revealed that its AI services
revenue has crossed an annualised $1 billion mark, underlining growing enterprise demand and deeper partnerships with leading AI and computing firms.Looking ahead, Nilekani suggested a fundamental change in enterprise technology strategy, with companies increasingly choosing to develop software internally. "The preference will
