Pune Man Survived 'Two Murder Attempts' Without Knowing It: Then His Fiancée Lured Him Back For A 'Fatal Fall' Written By, Last Updated: June 23, 2026, 17:00 IST 26-year-old real-estate director Ketan Vishal Agrawal was killed after falling nearly 400 feet into a deep gorge at Maharashtra’s historic Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18 Siya (left) and Ketan (right) were scheduled to get married in a lavish ceremony in Jaipur next month. File pics What was initially reported as a tragic trekking mishap at Maharashtra’s historic Lohagad Fort near Pune has unravelled into a cold-blooded murder conspiracy. Pune Rural Police have arrested 20-year-old Siya Goyal and her secret lover, 22-year-old Chetan Chaudhary, for allegedly orchestrating the death of Goyal’s fiancé, Ketan Vishal Agrawal. The 26-year-old real-estate director fell nearly 400 feet into a deep gorge on June 18, an incident his fiancée originally blamed on strong winds and a slip while taking photographs. However, subsequent technical surveillance and interrogation exposed a calculated love triangle, highlighting a sinister series of multiple murder attempts that the unsuspecting victim completely failed to notice. A Dark Motive Fuelled by a Forbidden Love Triangle The driving force behind the alleged crime stems from an intense resistance to an arranged match. Ketan Agrawal, hailing from a prominent business family, was set to marry Siya Goyal in November.
The families had already initiated lavish wedding arrangements, including booking a heritage palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan. However, Siya was secretly in a long-term relationship with Chetan Chaudhary, whose family operated in the same dry-fruits trade as hers. Viewing Ketan as a permanent obstacle to her romantic future but facing intense familial pressure to proceed with the high-profile marriage, Siya conspired with Chetan to eliminate her groom-to-be, choosing to mask the assassination as an unfortunate outdoor adventure accident. The Passport Sabotage and the Failed First Attempts According to sources, the fatal push on June 18 was actually the culmination of a weeks-long execution strategy. In early June, the couple was scheduled to fly to Bali for a grand pre-wedding photoshoot. To prevent the trip from happening, Siya secretly stole and disposed of Ketan’s passport at a hotel transit stop during their journey to the airport, forcing them to return to Pune. With the international trip sabotaged, Siya diverted Ketan’s attention towards local terrain, convincing him to visit the remote cliffs of Lohagad Fort under the guise of pre-wedding outings. Police records indicate that she lured him to the fort on multiple occasions before the final tragedy. During an initial attempt on May 31, the logistics failed to align. Two weeks later, on June 14, Siya and Chetan staged a scenario at the fort where they tried to startle Ketan into falling off the cliff by fabricating a sudden, terrifying snake attack.
