In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested a woman allegedly linked to Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) for operating as a sleeper cell in Jaipur. The arrest was made on the basis of intelligence inputs received from Military Intelligence, following which security agencies launched a coordinated operation and detained the suspect for questioning.
The arrested woman has been identified as Babiba Dhakad. According to information accessed by the India Today Group, she had allegedly converted to Islam after reciting the Kalma online and subsequently adopted the name 'Khadija'. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding her conversion and whether it was linked to efforts by terror operatives to radicalise and recruit individuals through online platforms.
