Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay addressed the state assembly, outlining his government's firm stance against corruption and its approach to working with the central government. During the proceedings, CM Vijay accused the previous administration of systemic corruption, specifically highlighting the alleged looting of money under the guise of party funds through departments like TASMAC. He assured the assembly that these looted funds are systematically being recovered and deposited back into the government treasury.
Emphasising a zero-tolerance policy, he stated that his government would not touch a single paisa of public money, nor allow anyone else to do so, warning of strict action against past and present offenders. In response, opposition members strongly objected to the allegations. They challenged the Chief Minister to name the specific party involved and demanded concrete evidence to back his claims regarding the misappropriation of funds, asserting their readiness to face any proven charges.
