Speaking to Axios, Trump said the chances of reaching an agreement with Tehran were “a solid 50/50." He added that the situation could either lead to a “good" deal or he could “blow them to kingdom come." The US President is also scheduled to hold a conference call with Gulf leaders later in the day to discuss developments related to Iran, the news outlet reported, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

Follow for live updates The Republican leader also said that he would meet senior negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner later in the day to review Iran’s latest proposal. Vice President JD Vance is also expected to join the discussions. US ‘Getting A Lot Closer’ To Deal With Iran, Says Trump In a separate interview with CBS News, Trump said negotiators were “getting a lot closer" to finalising an agreement. Sources familiar with the talks told CBS that the latest proposal includes steps to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, unfreeze some Iranian assets held overseas and continue negotiations on a broader settlement. While declining to reveal details, Trump said, “every day it gets better and better." “I can’t tell you before I tell them, right?" he told CBS News. Trump also asserted that any final agreement would ensure Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon and that its enriched uranium would be “satisfactorily handled." “I will only sign a deal where we get everything we want," he said.
