A major search operation conducted by the police has led to the recovery of approximately 3.5 kg of gold jewellery from the family residence of a former Trinamool Congress MLA in Nadia district, West Bengal. The seizure occurred after the arrested political leader was taken to the location by officers.
According to police sources, neither the former legislator nor the family members could provide a valid source for the recovered jewellery, leading to its seizure. The police have also identified multiple unaccounted properties linked to the leader, pointing towards a larger network of financial irregularities. The investigation is ongoing, and further raids are expected as the political leader remains in custody.
