The Kanpur Development Authority sealed twenty-two coaching centres, including the popular Physics Wallah facility, in the prominent Kakra Deo coaching hub.
A comprehensive safety and building audit is currently underway to identify safety norm breaches and illegal constructions. The administrative action, ordered after the Lucknow incident, targeting structures built without proper approvals, raises concerns over why regulatory authorities failed to act earlier against these long-operating illegal centres.
