Authorities in Lucknow have arrested four individuals, including three building owners, following a devastating fire in the Aliganj area that claimed the lives of 15 youngsters. The ill-fated building was registered as a residential property but was illegally operating as a commercial complex housing an animation centre.
Investigations revealed major safety hazards, including naked electrical wires, transformers directly outside the premises, and the absence of a proper escape route. Following the tragedy, concerned authorities have launched a city-wide drive to crack down on residential properties running illegal commercial establishments in the region.
