While several regions are set to receive heavy rainfall, parts of northern and central India continue to face heatwave-like conditions, creating a mixed and extreme weather pattern across multiple states.According to the forecast, the India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall warning for 13 states. The affected regions are expected to experience intense showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over the next 24 hours.Areas in eastern, northeastern, and coastal belts are likely to see the most significant rainfall activity, with local disruptions possible due to waterlogging and reduced visibility. Authorities have advised residents to stay alert and follow safety advisories issued by local administrations.While rainfall is expected in many regions, heatwave conditions are likely to continue in parts of eastern India.
In particular, East Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha are on alert for high temperatures and dry conditions.The state of Uttar Pradesh may experience uncomfortable daytime heat, especially in its eastern districts, while Vidarbha in Maharashtra is also expected to remain hot and dry despite changing weather patterns elsewhere.Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad are likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread rainfall on June 22. Isolated to scattered rainfall will continue from June 23 to 28, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Hailstorm activity is also likely on June 22 in some parts.Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to receive isolated to scattered rainfall from June 22 to 28. The region may also witness thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds during this period, with isolated hailstorm activity possible in Himachal Pradesh on June 22.Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, and both East and West Rajasthan are likely to see isolated to scattered rainfall between June 22 and 28.
