During the national medical entrance re-examination, a political controversy erupted in Bengaluru after three female candidates were denied entry to their test centre. The candidates arrived just two minutes past the designated gate closing time of one-thirty. Although they attempted to enter by scaling the outer gates, they were stopped from appearing in the examination.
Parents blamed traffic congestion caused by a nearby political rally for the delay. The opposition party accused the ruling state government of prioritising politics over the future of students. Meanwhile, a state minister dismissed the allegations, stating that the candidates missed the test for other individual reasons, and accused the opposition of creating manufactured outrage.
