The initiative aims to regulate the private tutoring sector, expand access to qualified tutors and create additional income opportunities for eligible residents.According to MOHRE, applicants must comply with a professional code of conduct approved by the ministry before receiving the permit.Under the expanded eligibility criteria, the permit is open to several categories of residents, including:The ministry said the permit provides a legal framework for individuals who wish to offer educational support services outside traditional classroom settings.School students can apply for the permit if they:University students are also eligible but must provide the required supporting documents during the application process.Teachers, private-sector workers and government employees must submit:Government employees, semi-government workers and schoolteachers must also obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their employer before applying.Applications can be submitted through MOHRE's digital platforms.The ministry said applications will be reviewed in coordination with the Ministry of Education before permits are issued.MOHRE said applications that meet all requirements will be processed within two days.Once approved, the permit will remain valid for two years.
