Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed officials to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances received during the Janata Darshan programme, while taking a strict stand against complaints related to encroachment. During the public interaction programme, the Chief Minister met people from different districts of Uttar Pradesh individually, received their applications and listened to their grievances.
He instructed officials to ensure that every complaint is addressed in a proper and time-bound manner. A complaint related to encroachment received special attention during the programme. An elderly man from Mathura informed the Chief Minister that a village pathway had allegedly been encroached upon and that repeated complaints at the local level had failed to yield any action. Taking serious note of the matter, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate to personally inspect the site and assess the actual situation. He instructed that if encroachment is found, it should be removed immediately and strict action should be taken against those responsible. The Chief Minister said that complaints related to encroachment would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He also directed the administration, police, municipal corporations, development authorities and other concerned agencies to regularly monitor such issues. Apart from the encroachment complaint, applications related to education, healthcare, financial assistance, electricity, police and revenue matters were also submitted during the Janata Darshan. The Chief Minister accepted all the applications and assured people that the government remains committed to addressing public concerns and fulfilling basic welfare needs. He said that all genuine issues would be resolved and that citizens need not worry. “The government stands with all 25 crore residents of the state under every circumstance," he said. Before hearing the grievances, the Chief Minister enquired about the well-being of people who had arrived in the intense summer heat.
