Six rebel Members of Parliament are set to switch allegiances to the rival faction led by the state's Deputy Chief Minister. The defection occurs following dissatisfaction with the abusive language and remarks used by a prominent leader of their original party faction. The parliamentarians had not finalized their decision to cross over until the middle of June. However, continuous derogatory comments from their party leadership served as the breaking point, prompting them to leave.
The rival faction issued a thank you to the opposing camp's leadership for driving the parliamentarians away. The six rebel parliamentarians are scheduled to arrive at the airport, proceed to the ongoing monsoon session, and officially join the rival camp. Following the official induction, a joint press conference will be addressed to formally announce the transition. The transcript highlights that the inappropriate remarks directly contributed to the parliamentarians finalizing their decision to change political affiliations.
