Nothing might be gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India. The London-based smartphone maker appears to be starting a new "B series" lineup, possibly with a new budget phone aimed at Indian buyers. The company is best known for its flagship smartphones and the A series, which sits in the mid-range flagship segment. Now, a fresh teaser hints that another series could soon join the lineup. Read Full Story Days after the main Nothing account posted a mysterious "(b)" teaser earlier this week, Nothing India followed it up with a short video carrying the caption "(b)usted." Unlike the earlier post, this teaser actually gives us a glimpse of the device itself.
Transparent design and a single camera The teaser highlights several familiar Nothing design elements. There's the brand's trademark transparent rear panel with visible internal detailing and, perhaps the biggest clue of all, a single rear camera setup. A Phone "(4b)" could sit alongside the "(a)" series as a separate branch aimed at a slightly different audience and price point. While Nothing hasn't confirmed a launch date yet, the pace of the teasers suggests an announcement may not be far away. Did the cancelled CMF phone become a Nothing phone? The teaser comes after Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis confirmed that, due to rising memory prices, a successor to the Phone 2 Pro would not have worked out.
"We were working on a successor but with memory prices where they are right now, we can't build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF," he wrote. He added, "As a result, we've decided not to launch a new CMF phone this year." While there is no word on whether this is a reference to a new Nothing Phone 4b, it remains a possibility. Nothing has also recently shared images of two Pokmon โ Jumpluff and Blastoise. Nothing devices usually have Pokmon as codenames, hinting at new devices in the pipeline. As per rumours, Blastoise could be the next Nothing smartphone, while Jumpluff may be the Nothing Ear 3a, a successor to the Ear a.
What rumours say There have been leaks associated with the CMF Phone 3 Pro in the past, suggesting upgraded materials, a metal frame, and a redesigned camera module. According to AndroidHeadlines, the purported device would've likely used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and packed a 5,500mAh battery. However, according to tipster Yogesh Brar, the device may now come under the Nothing banner instead, with an expected launch in India next month. Ends
