The NEET-UG re-examination has concluded, bringing to an end the process that began after the original exam was scrapped on May 12 following the paper leak controversy. More than 22 lakh students appeared for the examination again within just over a month. The re-exam was conducted on a massive scale, with 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 overseas locations.
Nearly 95,000 examination rooms were placed under a strict security network, with more than 1.38 lakh CCTV cameras monitoring the process throughout the day. Following the examination, several students said the paper was significantly tougher than the original test held in May. Many candidates highlighted the physics section as the most challenging and time-consuming part of the examination.
