The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the government on Sunday (June 21, 2026) began its probe into the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna (25). SIT head and IGP M. Ravi Prakash, along with members Adnan Nayeem Asmi Sudhakar, visited the task force office and Krishnalanka police station to inquire about the alleged custodial torture and death of Sai Krishna.
The NTR Commissionerate Police conducted a parallel investigation into the illegal detention and screening of evidence in the case. Meanwhile, leaders of the YSRCP, CPI, and Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) visited the house of Perupogu Kranti Kumar, who resorted to suicide due to the alleged harassment by Circle Inspector S.S.V.V. Nagaraju, and consoled the bereaved family members.
