The State government will begin releasing Action Taken Reports (ATRs) from Monday (June 22) on the seven white papers issued shortly after it assumed office in June 2024, as part of its effort to counter allegations made by the YSR Congress Party. The ATRs are intended to showcase the progress achieved by the TDP-BJP-Jana Sena Party coalition government over the past two years. In this regard, Chief Minister N.
Chandrababu Naidu has directed Ministers and officials to ensure their timely release. Apart from the seven ATRs, the government will release progress reports on three other key subjects — development, governance and welfare; good governance; and welfare and empowerment. Reviewing the exercise with Ministers and senior officials at his camp office on Sunday, Mr. Naidu recalled that the government had earlier released white papers on the State’s financial condition, the Polavaram project, Amaravati capital city, the energy sector, law and order, mining and excise.
He said the ATRs should clearly explain how the government addressed the challenges inherited from the 2019-24 period and steered the State towards development. They should detail the changes brought about in various departments, welfare initiatives implemented, development programmes undertaken and reforms introduced by the government. Naidu directed officials to complete the release of all ATRs and progress reports by July 18 and compile them into a book.
Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad and other senior officials attended the review meeting. Ministers Payyavula Keshav, P. Narayana, Anagani Satya Prasad, Vangalapudi Anitha, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Nimmala Rama Naidu and Kollu Ravindra participated, while DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and several officials joined through video conference.
