With just 10 minutes left before the gates closed for the NEET (UG) examination on Sunday, a student from Tolichowki here found himself in a race against time after reaching the wrong examination centre. Hasan Hashmi, accompanied by his father, arrived at the Kendriya Vidyalaya centre in Tirumalagiri, only to learn that he was allotted Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bolarum.
With entry set to close at 1.30 p.m., the family feared his chances of appearing for the examination were slipping away. Bolarum ACP Ramesh Kumar arranged a police vehicle to the Bolarum exam centre to send the student to his allotted venue.
To save time, the police coordinated the route and facilitated movement through the Rashtrapati Nilayam area, enabling the student to cover the distance quickly despite the
tight deadline. The student reached the Bolarum Kendriya Vidyalaya exam centre around 1.25 p.m., just five minutes before the gates closed, allowing him to appear for NEET.
