The NTA has implemented a massive security shield for the NEET re-examination to prevent malpractice. Across the country, examination centres are guarded by police and paramilitary forces, including the BSF. In Delhi, question papers were transported from banks in metal-shielded vans escorted by police squads. The security measures include AI-based CCTV monitoring to detect suspicious activities, double biometric verification staff, and facial authentication to prevent impersonation.
Additionally, over fifty-one thousand signal jammers have been installed to block unauthorised electronic communication. The Indian Air Force and the postal department are assisting in securing the logistics and OMR sheets. Ground reports from Pune and Chandigarh highlight strict frisking processes, with candidates allowed only transparent water bottles and no jewellery. Some students expressed disappointment over the necessity of a re-examination, while others viewed it as a second chance to improve their scores.
The gates close at 1:30 PM, with the exam commencing at 2:00 PM. Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
