(Source: X) A 19-year-old NEET aspirant was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad’s Miyapur area, police said on Sunday. According to police, the student had been staying with her sisters in an apartment in the locality. She took the extreme step a day before appearing for the NEET re-examination. As per a report by PTI, police recovered a note purportedly written by the deceased in which she reportedly stated that, “no one is responsible for my death." Officials said they suspect the student may have been under significant stress related to the NEET re-examination.
Investigators are examining whether pressure associated with the exam contributed to the incident. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the death. The incident comes as lakhs of students appeared for the NEET-UG re-examination on Sunday, which was conducted after the earlier test was cancelled amid allegations of a paper leak. Ghaziabad NEET Aspirant Died By Suicide On Saturday, another student allegedly killed self at his residence in Ghaziabad district. Police recovered a video clip from his mobile phone purportedly recorded shortly before his death, PTI reported. According to police, in the purported clip, the aspirant is seen saying he is not under any stress related to exam. The deceased, identified as Jatin Kumar, was a resident of Vijay Nagar and had been preparing for NEET-UG, they said.
According to family members, Jatin was studying in his room till late night Thursday. On Friday morning, when relatives went to wake him up, they found him dead and alerted police.
