UP Govt To Hold Statewide Seminar For Teachers On June 23 To Strengthen NIPUN Bharat Mission Published By, Last Updated: June 21, 2026, 12:53 IST Uttar Pradesh will hold a June 23 online seminar under NIPUN Bharat Mission to train teachers, boost foundational literacy, numeracy and improve school learning outcomes. As part of preparations for the 2026-27 academic session, a statewide online seminar will be organised on June 23 to facilitate direct interaction between officials and teachers. The Yogi Adityanath government has directed all districts to ensure 100 per cent participation in the seminar, which will begin at 11:30 am.
According to instructions issued by Additional State Project Director Prem Ranjan Singh, headmasters, teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, teacher cluster members, ARPs, SRGs, DIET mentors and departmental officials from across the state will participate. Special Emphasis On Foundational Literacy And Numeracy Under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, the state government is working to equip children with foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Along with strengthening language and mathematics competencies among students from Balvatika to Class 8, efforts are also being made to promote scientific temperament, digital literacy, environmental awareness, and overall personality development. During the seminar, discussions will be held on priorities for the new academic session, the objectives of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, development of language and mathematical skills, and strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Teacher Capacity Building In Focus The government said teachers are the backbone of educational reforms, and special emphasis is being placed on their capacity building, regular interaction, and adoption of innovative teaching methods. The seminar will also cover the use of digital teaching resources, student-centric classroom practices, measures to improve learning levels, and ways to create a better educational environment in schools. The state government said it is moving beyond merely opening schools and is working towards building a planned, result-oriented, and accountable system aimed at making every child proficient and improving the quality of education across Uttar Pradesh.
