The NEET re-examination is underway across Chandigarh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh under tight security. A multi-layer security setup involving Chandigarh Police, Education Department officials, and CAPF has been deployed at examination centres. Approximately 3,800 students in Chandigarh, nearly 20,000 in Himachal Pradesh, and around 25,000 to 27,000 students in Punjab are appearing for the re-examination.
To assist the candidates, the state governments of Punjab and Haryana have facilitated free travel in government-run PRTC and HRTC buses. Strict frisking protocols and security arrangements are in place to ensure a secure examination process.
