Over twenty-two lakh candidates are appearing for the medical entrance re-examination amid extensive security measures. Following previous paper leak controversies, the question papers are being transported from bank strong rooms to examination centres in cash vans escorted by paramilitary forces and local police. The testing agency has implemented a multi-layered security protocol across more than five thousand centres.
These measures include artificial intelligence-based surveillance, facial authentication, double biometric verification, and the installation of over fifty-one thousand signal jammers. The air force and postal department are also assisting with logistics and securing answer sheets. To support candidates, multiple state governments have announced free bus travel upon presenting admit cards. Additionally, cooling zones equipped with water, oral rehydration solutions, and first aid have been established outside centres for accompanying parents.
The central education ministry has urged candidates to take the examination without fear, assuring a transparent process.
