Over twenty-two lakh aspirants are appearing for the medical entrance re-examination following the recent paper leak controversy. The testing agency has implemented extensive security measures across thousands of centers in India and abroad to ensure a fair process. These measures include the deployment of over one lakh surveillance cameras, thousands of jammers, and dedicated personnel for frisking and biometric verification.
Notably, military aircraft were utilized to transport the examination papers to prevent further breaches. Ahead of the test, the Union Education Minister appealed to students to take the examination fearlessly and urged political leaders to avoid mocking the education system or impacting the mental health of the youth. The re-examination aims to restore faith in the medical entrance process after previous lapses led to distress among students.
The government and testing authorities are monitoring the situation at multiple levels to conduct a transparent examination.
